The 34th annual Chester Bowl Fall Fest will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Chester Bowl, 1801 E. Skyline Parkway.

The event, which annually attracts about 10,000 people throughout the day, includes live music, food, more than 120 craft vendors, children's activities, fresh produce and informational booths about local programs.

A suggested donation of $5 per person or $10 per family will be accepted at the entrance, with the money raised going toward Chester Bowl winter program scholarships for kids in need who want to participate in winter sports at the park. Last winter the Chester Bowl Improvement Club awarded over $26,000 in scholarships to families in need of financial assistance. Donations at Fall Fest last year totaled nearly $8,000 to support the scholarship fund.

Three free shuttle buses will operate between the park and Lot B at the University of Minnesota Duluth, at the intersection of College Street and University Drive. Parking is very limited near Chester Bowl.

If heavy rain or severe weather is imminent, Chester Bowl will decide by 6 a.m. Saturday whether to move the event to Sunday, same hours. Find more information at
