FARGO-The man accused of cutting a driver's neck, has officially been charged.
36-year old Aaron Knutson is facing Aggravated Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and terrorizing charges.
Police say Knutson was picked up outside of the Northern early Saturday morning by two strangers in a car.
They were giving him a ride home when an argument broke out, and police say Knutson cut Ethan Kensok's neck with a knife.
Police say the best way to avoid situations like this, is to "not" give strangers rides.
"Do not offer rides to people you don't know. You can always call a cab for them or help them find a way - but if you don't know someone you don't know what they're capable of or what their mindset is, especially when someone's intoxicated. They could be a completely different person when they aren't intoxicated," said Jessica Schindeldecker of the Fargo Police Department.
Kensok was treated and released.
