Authorities said they are not seeking any suspects in connection with a shooting incident in the East Hillside neighborhood Thursday night.
Douglas Antonio Ladd, 25, walked into a local hospital with a single gunshot wound to his upper thigh, the Duluth Police Department reported in a news release Friday. His injuries were considered non-life-threatening.
Police were summoned to the 600 block of East Fourth Street just before 6 p.m. on the report of a shooting, and one man was initially detained. But police said Friday that no one was in custody.
“Our investigation indicates there is no continuing threat to public safety and police are not seeking suspects and police have made no arrests,” spokesman Ron Tinsley said in an email.
Police did not provide additional information on the circumstances of the incident, but said an investigation is ongoing.
