An unoccupied home in Angora Township was destroyed by fire Saturday night.

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office reported that it responded to a call of a house fire in the 8700 block of County Highway 25 at 8:24 p.m., according to a press release. When deputies arrived along with the Cook Fire and Ambulance Service and the Pike-Sandy Fire Department, they found the residence engulfed in flames. The house was a total loss.

Authorities said the cause of the fire is unknown at this time. The incident remains under investigation.
