2 charged with burglaries near Floodwood

Two Floodwood men have been charged with involvement in multiple burglaries of the same Floodwood home. Additional arrests are likely, according to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office.

The Sheriff's Office reported receiving a report March 30 of a burglary at a home east of Floodwood. The homeowners had been spending the winter out of the state, and a friend discovered the missing items when checking on the property. Investigators determined that the home had been burglarized numerous times over about a week and a half.

Stolen items included firearms, a utility trailer, a side-by-side ATV and TVs.

The Sheriff's Office and Floodwood police conducted searches in and around Floodwood on April 1, according to the Sheriff's Office news release.

Charged so far: Forrest Runquist, 58, Floodwood, for felon in possession of a firearm and receiving stolen property, and Blake Heavirland, 37, Floodwood, for first-degree burglary (stolen firearm).
