A 21-year-old man from rural Douglas County died after a dump truck rolled over him Tuesday morning in South Superior.
Authorities responded to a report of an accident at approximately 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at Joe P Kimmes Oil and Tire, 6327 Tower Ave., according to a news release from the Superior Police Department. After arriving to the scene, rescue personnel determined the victim was dead. His name was not released Wednesday pending an investigation, police said.
The man, an employee at Kimmes, was servicing the Kenworth dump truck when it moved from its location.
Superior police said preliminary indications reveal that the incident was a "tragic accident" and the investigation is ongoing.
No one else was involved in the incident.
