The family of Terry Mahoney would like to announce her retirement from Essentia Health Cancer Center. Terry graduated from the University of Wisconsin Superior with a bachelor in social work and from the University of Minnesota Duluth Magna cum laud with her masters degree in 1997. She started her career on the in-patient oncology unit at St. Marys Hospital and was employee of the year in 2006. Terry had a passion for her work and joined the Association of Oncology Social Workers to become an expert in her field.
During her 20 years at Essentia Health Terry was nominated for and received two National Awards. The American Cancer Society Lane Adams Quality of Life Award was presented to her in Atlanta and the Hematology/Oncology Social Worker of the Year was presented to her in Denver during the AOSW National Conference. Terry loved her work, the patients she met and her colleagues. Her daughter, Lyzz and granddaughters, Meghan and Taylor and now her new great-granddaughter, Madison want to wish her the best in her next chapter of LIFE!
