Starry night on the lake
The night we got engaged was definitely a memorable one! It was the first time we spent a weekend at the Weber cabin, just the two of us (the cabin is our favorite place to be).
Unfortunately the weather was rainy and cold, until it started to clear up Friday evening. We were relaxing by the fire and decided to go on a late-night pontoon ride on the lake. It was September, so we grabbed a couple blankets and some music. As we went out onto the lake the sky started to clear up and the stars were amazing.
As we sat under the stars listening to music, "our" song came on. Before I realized, Rich was on his knee beside me with a ring! I was completely surprised! Even better than the proposal was the celebration he had planned. He had smuggled champagne glasses onto the pontoon without me noticing, and then he pulled out an expensive bottle of champagne that he had hidden in the minnow bucket!
