I WAS BORN: Dec. 12, 2008, in Nurse Midwifery Birth Center in Eugene, Ore.
MY PARENTS ARE: LeeAnn and KC Myers of Eugene.
MY GRANDPARENTS ARE: Linda and Larry Folstad of Soudan; Randy Ilminen and Jan Sorenson of Saginaw, Minn.; and Dede and Kevin Myers of Spooner.
MY GREAT-GRANDPARENTS ARE: Elaine and Roy Ilminen and Jean Erspamer, all of Hurley; Duane and Janice Myers of Danbury, Wis.; Neva Lawson of Apache Junction, Ariz.; and the late Mel Lawson.
MY PARENTS CHOSE THIS NAME BECAUSE: Lukah means "light," and Grace means "blessing from God." We knew this was her name long before she was manifested here on Earth. We added the 'y' to Grace in honor of her mama's cousin, Stacy, who passed on five years ago.

SOMETHING SPECIAL: Lukah was nearly two weeks late, choosing to wait until Grammy Linda arrived from Minnesota to be there for the birth. She also chose to arrive on a full blue moon, surrounded by a circle of beautiful belly dancers.
