LOIS M. POLZIN Lois M. Polzin, 87, formerly of Trout Lake and Bovey, died on Saturday, March 14, 2015, in Oak Hill Assisted Living, Grand Rapids. Born Sept. 30, 1927, in Grand Rapids, she was the daughter of Frederick and Charlotte (Thomas) Johnson.

Lois M. Polzin, 87, formerly of Trout Lake and Bovey, died on Saturday, March 14, 2015, in Oak Hill Assisted Living, Grand Rapids.
Born Sept. 30, 1927, in Grand Rapids, she was the daughter of Frederick and Charlotte (Thomas) Johnson. Lois was a graduate of Greenway High School and lived most of her life in the Trout Lake and Bovey areas. Lois was married to Herbert Polzin on Dec. 27, 1952, in Grand Rapids. She was a member of the Mt. Olive Lutheran Church of Bovey, the Midway Ladies Club, and had been a nursing assistant at the Itasca County Nursing Home.
Her parents, Frederick and Charlotte Johnson; her husband, Herbert Polzin; a brother, Walter Johnson; and   a sister, Shirley Johnson preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, Michael (Lynn) Johnson of Keewatin, Toni (Larry) Wirta of Bovey, Daniel Polzin of Columbia, S.C., Cindy (Edwin) Huntington of Grand Rapids, and Lisa (Wayne Stenson) Herschbach of Blackduck, MN; stepchildren, Dennis Polzin of Olympia, WA, Keith (Robbie) Polzin of Aberdeen, WA, Linda Covey of Olympia, WA, and Louise (Wally) Thielmann of Garfield, MN; 18 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
VISITATION: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, in the Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Bovey. Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine. To leave an online condolence message, please go to petersonfuneralchapelofcoleraine.com.
