Virtual classes to address chronic pain management

A Minnesota company is offering a six-week workshop online to help people manage chronic pain.

The statewide Juniper network, in partnership with Grand Itasca Hospital and Clinic and ElderCircle, will teach participants strategies to overcome frustration, fatigue, isolation and poor sleep. Classes also will include exercises to maintain and improve strength, information about the appropriate use of medications and the importance of good nutrition.

Classes will be conducted live via a HIPAA-secure video conferencing service. Participants may engage in real time with course leaders and fellow participants.

What: Living Well with Chronic Pain

When: May 12–June 16 from 9:30 a.m. to noon every Tuesday for 6 weeks. Information and practice Zoom session Tuesday, May 5, 9:30-10:30 a.m.
