Gordy’s Hi-Hat is locally famous as a seasonal destination for customers craving its homemade onion rings, hand-battered fish and old-fashioned malts. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating, with a 1950s diner theme. Fans will even line up outside the door when Gordy’s opens for the season.



Visit 'The Beach'

Cloquet may not have a lake or ocean, but it still has The Beach. This zero-entry pool in Pinehurst Park has filtered, chlorinated water and a sand bottom. There are slides, changing rooms, a sand volleyball court, picnic areas, concessions and lifeguards on duty.



Explore Jay Cooke State Park

About 7 miles from Cloquet, along state Highway 210 in Carlton, Jay Cooke State Park offers recreational and educational opportunities, including hiking, camping, birding and naturalist sessions. Check out its iconic Swinging Bridge, Thomson Pioneer Cemetery and Oldenburg Point.
