Pets of the Week for Oct. 15, 2019

Animals available for adoption

Alana is a 5-year-old brown tabby domestic short hair who is available for adoption through Animal Allies in Duluth. Alana is a sociable little lady who loves to be the queen of the home. Her favorite pastime is napping in the sun. She’s a bit persnickety and doesn't like anyone touching her stomach but loves any and all chin scratches.

An adoption fee is required for all adoptions. Animal Allies uses the “Meet your Match” adoption program designed by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The program evaluates an animal’s behavior and interests and matches them to an adopter’s preferences so you take home a pet you really click with. Call 218-722-5341 or visit for more information.

Dorothy is a 3-year-old Australian cattle dog available for adoption through the Humane Society of Douglas County. Dorothy is a very sweet girl but can be a little shy at first. Once she gets comfortable with you, she’s very friendly and playful.

An adoption fee is required for all adoptions. Call 715-398-6784 or go to for more information.
