Community Partners is sponsoring a free six-week program, "Living Well with Diabetes," which guides people with Type 2 diabetes to develop lifestyle strategies to improve overall well-being. Participants learn practical techniques to manage symptoms like fatigue, pain, hyper/hypoglycemia and stress, as well as how to work effectively with family and health providers.

Trained peer leaders facilitate the interactive classes, encouraging the development of weekly action plans and maintaining goal sets. Registration is open to adults with Type II diabetes, pre-diabetes, family members and caregivers.

The workshop is part of the health self-management evidence-based programs developed by Stanford University and offered around the world.

The six-week long program begins July 22 and runs from 1-3 p.m. at the Community Center, 417 South Ave., Two Harbors.

Preregistration is required so enough class materials are available for everyone. To register, visit or call Community Partners at 218-834-8024.
