Health notes: Arts program for cancer patients offered in Grand Rapids
A Duluth-based arts program for cancer patients, survivors, family members and caregivers is being offered in Grand Rapids this fall.
“Arts Express Grand Rapids” offers private online writing and reading groups, called Reflecting Pools, to offer an anonymous place to express the emotions that come with a cancer diagnosis, said a news release from Project Lulu, which sponsors the program.
Also, art workshops led by Duluth painter Elizabeth Kuth and poet Sheila Packa will be offered on Oct. 4 and 11, also in Grand Rapids.
To sign up, log on to projectlulu.org/arts_express. For more information, call (218) 349-9121 or email email@example.com.
Project Lulu was founded by Lisa McKhann, an artist who is an ovarian cancer survivor.
