Saying it can't wait any longer, Gordy's Hi-Hat in Cloquet will open Wednesday.

In an Instagram post Thursday, the popular burger joint on state Highway 33 in Cloquet said it will take orders at the counter, while offering call-in orders and classic car-hop service, too. There will be no dine-in seating as the restaurant adheres to state orders related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Gordy's had delayed its originally scheduled March opening.

"We postponed our original opening date to make sure we had a safe, clean and efficient plan to serve our customers," the restaurant's post said.
