The Duluth Parks & Recreation department shared this fun winter activity on its Facebook page recently and agreed to let the News Tribune share their photos. “We'll be highlighting other activities and ways for people to stay active this winter as we head into our colder months,” staff wrote, “so stay tuned!”
Step 1: Find a shallow container. This aluminum pan worked great, especially being able to bend it when removing the suncatcher later.
Step 2: Pour water until bottom is covered (about one-half inch).
Step 3: Build your hanger. Place ends in water to create a loop. Use what you have! String, shoelace, yarn, etc.
Step 4: Go find nature things!
Step 5: Arrange and freeze.
Step 6: Hang your artwork someplace sunny.
