The folks at Lilac Lovefest are asking for help with spotting the first lilac bloom.

This effort aims to show the Twin Ports has “the longest lilac season in the world” due to the microclimates and Lake Superior, according to a press release.

Email info@twinports.com, call or text 218-310-6838, and the winner gets a $100 gift card to Lilac Hill Greenhouse, formerly Engwall Greenhouse.

Along with contests in wood carving, kids coloring and more, Lilac Lovefest has a list of virtual and outdoor, social-distancing events lined up on LilacLovefest.com .

Duluth Yoga is hosting an 8 a.m. session May 30 at the Enger Tower pavilion, and there’s a video tutorial on how to make lilac bracelets, necklaces and crowns.
