Duluth Playhouse cancels, shifts performances slated for winter and spring

Several shows set for the Duluth Playhouse's 2021-2022 season have been pushed back or dropped.

Citing the surge of COVID-19 cases, the Duluth Playhouse announced a few changes to its current season. In an email to previous Playhouse patrons, the following postponements or cancellations were announced Monday morning:

  • "Clue," originally scheduled to open Jan. 27 at the NorShor Theatre, has been postponed to Aug. 12-21. For those who already purchased tickets, email or call the box office to see about date changes.
  • "The SpongeBob Musical," originally scheduled to open Feb. 18 in the Family Theatre, will not be produced in the 2021-2022 season.
  • "The Revolutionists," and "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time," scheduled to open Jan. 13 and Aug. 11 in the Underground Theatre, will not be produced in the current season.

Anyone with questions about ticket purchases can contact the box office.No word yet on the other productions slated for the season. The next on the schedule after the cancellations is "Ragtime" at the NorShor, which is slated to open March 17.
