Northland’s Native-run CSA is back.

The Indigenous First Arts and Gift Shop and Native Wise LLC are teaming up for Year Two of offering native-produced and native-grown CSA shares.

New this year: Folks can expect a wider variety of goods, from honey to fish to CBD tea this year; and SNAP participants can pay for a box using their benefits — a move that will better aid food equity and food sovereignty solutions, according to a news release.

This CSA season runs July 22 through Sept. 23, and all products hail from Sawyer, Minnesota, farmers David and Patra Wise of Native Wise LLC.

Weekly boxes contain a half bushel of goods — summer squash, smoked white fish, granite melon, tomatillos and more — and CSAs are curbside pickup only from 3-6 p.m. every Thursday at the Niiwin Indigenous Food Market, 102 E 4th St. starting July 22.
