Make a silly face

As a photojournalist, I look for moments and the people who create them. At the Arrowhead Youth Games, I was drawn to a station where kids surrounded a giant rainbow parachute - partially because it used to be one of my favorite activities in elementary school and partially because 6-year-old Hudson Glass caught my eye. He was so happy; he was living that moment with everything he had. The group was told to lift the parachute about their heads then float it down around them and make the funniest face they knew. Hudson looked at me then looked at Johnny McCormick, the volunteer next to him. Life is a mashup of moments like this, and it's important we cherish them and live them every chance we get.
