A downtown restaurant that has gotten big city chatter has expanded its hours for the season.

Martha's Daughter Culinary Arts Space and Restaurant, 107 E. Superior St., is open from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. for lunch and 4:30 p.m.-10 p.m. for dinner daily. There are late-night hours - 10 p.m.-1 a.m. on weekends - and Sunday brunch from 10:45 a.m.-2 p.m.

The restaurant, which opened in February, had an immediate audience for its small plates, ramen, and the chicken waffles that were part of chef Nyanyika Banda's original pop-up offerings. It has had limited hours for the past few months.

Martha's Daughter recently landed on Minnesota Monthly's list of top 10 new restaurants. The space was described as feeling like a "Nordic dream out of Brooklyn" and the food as "the best of big-city dining and Duluth's artistic hometown charm" with extra kudos for the ramen.
