I enjoy photographing children, especially when they're at play. That's why I checked out the Homeschool Park Day held every Monday from 2-4 p.m. at the Duluth Heights Community Center. Children have fun and socialize while their parents or grandparents catch their breath. Things got pretty chaotic at times, but I was impressed that the parents let the kids work stuff out on their own with almost no hands on. Benign neglect can be a good thing. Laughter, screams, joy of discovery, mischief and a few tears - it was a good afternoon.
