  • Representatives of the Minnesota Department of Education will discuss proposed changes in the state's graduation rules in a meeting today in Cloquet. The department is proposing high school graduation standards based on achievement and abilities rather than on time spent in classrooms.
  • Wagering at Minnesota's Indian casinos will more than double to $2 billion this year, according to the state Gambling Control Board. The recent increase in gambling has led some state leaders to call for a moratorium on any new forms of legalized gaming.
