Notice of Public Hearing Please take notice that the Duluth Economic Development Authority (“DEDA”) will hold a public hearing by telephone or other electronic means pursuant to Minnesota Statues Section 13D.021 on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at 5:15 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter can be considered, to consider approval of an option agreement with Center City Housing Corporation, a non-profit organization (Developer), for the development of certain real property in the Ramsey neighborhood for affordable housing on the property on the upper side of Wadena Street between 52nd and 53rd Avenues West, tax parcel numbers: 010-4530-00460/ 00480/ 00160/ 00140/ 00130/ 00420/ 00350/ 00110/ 00100/ 00090/ 00010/ 00250. This agreement will give the Developer the option to acquire DEDA owned property for $125,000 for redevelopment of the property with not less than 50 multi-family permanent supportive housing units for homeless and at risk of homeless single adults with significant barriers to long term housing success. The public may see the terms and conditions of the agreement on DEDA’s website at http://www.duluthdeda.org. All persons interested may monitor and participate in the public hearing by visiting: http://www.duluthdeda.org/live-meeting promptly at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, and written comments may be submitted to DEDA in advance of the meeting via the DEDA’s web site at http://www.duluthdeda.org/contact-us/ or via email at cfleege@duluthmn.gov, and DEDA will decide if the agreement is advisable. The regular meeting place of DEDA is the Duluth City Council Chambers at City Hall, 411 West First Street, in Duluth, Minnesota. At this time board members of DEDA do not intent to attend the meeting in person; due to continually evolving restrictions and guidance from the state and federal officials and agencies, the board members of DEDA will attend the meeting remotely via telephone or other electronic means pursuant to Minnesota Statues Section 13D.021.
