WellCare is committed to protecting the security and confidentiality of our members' information. An incident occurred on May 18, 2020, when a drug recall letter was sent containing incorrect member information. The information potentially compromised included member name and medication name.
WellCare has no reason to believe any member information was used improperly. Additionally, we have put safeguards in place to help prevent a similar incident from recurring in the future and are providing one year of free credit monitoring for affected members.
Member Services is available to answer any questions Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST. If you are a Medicare Advantage member, call 1-833-444-9089. If you are a Prescription Drug Plan member, call 1-888-550-5252. For more information on steps you can take to protect your information, you can contact the Federal Trade Commission at ftc.gov or 1-877-438-4338.
