Alissa LaFrance of Rochester, Minn., and Michael Gravelle of Quantico, Va., plan to be married Dec. 26 in Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary in Duluth.
Her parents are Steven and Jeanne LaFrance of Duluth. His parents are Tom and Jan Gravelle of Austin, Minn.
The future bride, a 2003 graduate of Duluth East High School, graduated from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn., in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in chemistry and biomedical studies. She is a clinical lab technologist at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.
The future groom, a 2003 graduate of Austin High School, graduated from Carleton College in Northfield in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in economics. He is a second lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps, which he joined in 2008.
