CLOQUET โ€” Two goals from Bryce Howard and three assists from Calvin Knight helped the Minnesota Wilderness to a 5-3 win over the Minnesota Magicians in North American Hockey League play at Northwoods Credit Union Arena.

The Wilderness scored the first four goals but the Magicians started their comeback late in the second and were within 4-3 five minutes into the third.

Howard short-circuited the rally by making it 5-3 to the hosts at 6:55 of the period, and that's how it would stay.

Matthew Smith made 23 saves for the Wilderness, who have won three straight, all against the Magicians, and evened their record at 18-18-1. The teams conclude their run of four consecutive matchups Saturday night in Richfield.
