Beverly Godfrey is features editor of the Duluth News Tribune, managing the content of Pursuits, Health, Taste, A&E, Variety and Home. She spent her childhood in Grand Marais before moving away for high school and college. She earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., and returned to the shore of Lake Superior after being hired as a copy editor for the Duluth News Tribune in 1992. She left and returned a few times, working in Duluth as a magazine editor and freelance graphic designer. She returned (again) to the News Tribune as features editor in 2018. She completed the College of St. Scholastica's Graduate Teaching Licensure Program in 2017 and holds a teaching license for Communications Arts and Literature, grades 5-12. She is married to a Proctor boy, and together, they are raising four children, the family dog and a coop of chickens. The garden didn't do so great, but there's always next year. Beverly welcomes your story ideas and feedback. Write to her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
