Authorities are continuing the search for a vulnerable adult last seen nearly two weeks ago in Canosia Township.
Julian Daniel Decoux, 34, was last seen on the afternoon of May 5 near his adult foster care home on the 5700 block of Lavaque Road. Two separate motorists reported seeing him walking along the shoulder of the road at that time, Sgt. Wade Rasch of the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office reported Friday.
Minnesota State Patrol and U.S. Customs and Border Protection airplanes have assisted in a search of the surrounding area.
“There is no specific information to indicate Decoux would begin to travel into the woods,” Rasch said. “ However, the area along Lavaque Road where Decoux was last observed has been extensively searched by air in the event he began to travel through forest or swamp.”
Decoux was last seen wearing a bright green winter hat, an orange hooded sweatshirt, a black vest, black pants and new grey tennis shoes. An additional search around the residence is also planned, Rasch said.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 218-336-4350.
