St. Scholastica will welcome eight new faces when practice begins in October, the school announced Wednesday.

The 2019-20 recruiting class features seven freshmen and one transfer.

Jayden Ruberg, Two Harbors' career record holder with 2,204 points, Jace Hansen-Cochrane of Greenway and Duluth Denfeld graduate Joe Cvancara highlight the local members of the class.

Jack Silgen transferred in from the University of St. Thomas after helping Crosby-Ironton to a Class AA second-place finish in 2017.

Ander Arnold earned all-conference accolades the past two seasons while playing for New London-Spicer High School; Craig Burger was the Heart O'North Conference's leading scorer his senior season at Hayward; and Yohanes Gebeyehu is another point guard out of Roseville High School.

"We are excited about our incoming class, both in the quality of young men off the court and their ability on the court," Saints coach David Staniger said in a news release. "The class brings a lot of versatility on the court and they all fit in very well with our style of play. "

The Saints graduated the winningest senior class in program history, winning at least 16 games in each of the last four seasons., with three UMAC tournament championship game appearances.
