Gloria Ann Chelstrom

Gloria Ann Chelstrom, 75, of Duluth went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, March 21, 2014.
She was born on Nov. 21, 1938, to Joseph and Carmella Mirabelli, in Duluth, Minn. She graduated from Morgan Park High School.
Gloria was united in marriage to Dennis Chelstrom on Jan. 21, 1961. They moved to California where Gloria worked as Sr. Vice President of Human Resources at Western Bank Mortgage until her retirement. They moved back to Duluth, Minn., where Gloria became a member of the Italian-American Club.
Gloria was a devoted, loving wife. If you knew or were a friend of Gloria, you were blessed. She always had a kind word to say and would go out of her way to help everyone.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dennis; sister, Adele Colich; sisters-in-law, Pam Perich, Margo (Roland) Gigliotti; brothers-in-law, Robert (Lisa) Johnson, Tim (Sandy) Chelstrom, Richard Chelstrom, and Kenneth (Norma) Johnson; nephews, Mark Colich, Dan (Sandy) Colich, Chris (Gina) Colich; along with other numerous nephews; nieces; cousins; and her ya ya sisters, Faye Ellena, Janice Nelson and Donna Puhl.
Gloria’s family would like to thank Dr. Bret Friday and the staff at the Essentia Health Center and a special thank you to her physician at St. Luke’s, Dr. Mark Plachta and family.
Visitation: 9:30 a.m. until the 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, March 26, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 2410 Morris Thomas Rd., in Duluth.
