Passengers rode the North Shore Scenic Railroad from Duluth to Knife River where they were able to buy Christmas trees and wreaths before returning to Duluth.
The North Shore Scenic Railroad's Great Pumpkin Train from Duluth's Depot to the Lakeside neighborhood started Thursday and runs through Sunday, with daily departure times of 10 a.m., 11:20 a.m., 12:50 p.m., 2:20 p.m. and 3:50 p.m. Most seats were already sold out on opening day.
