The city of Duluth has gotten into podcasting.
On Thursday, the city launched the first episode of its monthly podcast, coined "MuniciPals." It's aimed at giving citizens a better understanding of how the city works, the city said on its website.
"Our goal is to highlight how the City operates, what each department and division does, and what services they provide, as well as discuss issues facing Duluth," according to the city.
The first episode was hosted by Phil Jents, the city's communications and policy officer, and Alicia Kozlowski, the city's community relations officer.
Duluth Mayor Emily Larson and Chief Administrative Officer Noah Schuchman were the show's first guests and explained their jobs and favorite seasons.
The podcast is available on Apple, Google, Spotify and Stitcher, and on the city's website at duluthmn.gov/communications/municipals.
