Trampled By Turtles will headline Grand Rapids Riverfest, two days of concerts in mid-September that will also feature Yonder Mountain String Band, Charlie Parr, Annie Humphrey, Superior Siren and more.

The lineup for Sept. 10 is a trio of bands with Duluth roots, including the folk foursome Superior Siren, Charlie Parr and Trampled By Turtles, in addition to Sugar on the Roof, Aaron Clafton and The Christopher David Hanson Band. Actual Wolf will play after Trampled, a VIP show that starts at 10 p.m.

On Sept. 11: Wild Horses, Annie Humphrey, Langhorne Slim, Faith Boblett, Kathleen Edwards and The Brothers Burn Mountain play, with Yonder Mountain String Band in the premiere slot. Corey Medina & Brothers play the after-party.

Tickets for the event, a collaboration between the city, Visit Grand Rapids, The Reif and KAXE-KBXE, are available at or the Reif Box Office, 218-327-5780.

This might be the closest Trampled By Turtles gets to Duluth, where the band formed and honed its style. They are not expected to play Bayfront Festival Park this summer, as they have in many other non-pandemic years.
