Bob Dylan's next album, "Rough and Rowdy Ways," is scheduled for release on June 19, the artist announced via Twitter just a few hours after releasing another new song.
"False Prophets" is the third single by the Duluth-born artist to magically appear this year, unannounced, in the wee hours. The first was "Murder Most Foul," an almost 17-minute long song that circles the assassination of John F. Kennedy, followed by "I Contain Multitudes." All three are expected to be on the new album, which is available for pre-order.
"False Prophets" is an extra growly and bluesy tune with lyrics like "I'm the enemy of treason / Enemy of strife / Enemy of the unlived meaningless life / I ain't no false prophet / I just know what I know / I go where only the lonely can go."
"Rough and Rowdy Ways" will be the artist's 38th studio album and his first compilation of new material since "The Tempest" in 2012.
