Dead Man Winter plans return to Duluth

Dead Man Winter will return to Duluth for a show in December — one of just a few the Dave Simonett project has planned for a while, according to Facebook.

The band, more of a rock ‘n’ roll act than Trampled By Turtles, plays Dec. 4 at Pizza Luce. Fever Dream, Marc Gartman’s electronic act, opens. Tickets went on sale Monday and are $15 at eventbrite.com.

Dead Man Winter is also playing in St. Paul and Fargo during that period.

“These will be our only shows for a while so come on out,” was posted on the band’s Facebook page.

Also announced Monday: Singer-songwriter Frankie Lee will perform his album “Stillwater” alongside a vintage film about life in Stillwater, Minn., during a show Nov. 23 at Sacred Heart Music Center. Tickets go on sale at eventbrite.com on Oct. 11.

Sarah Krueger opens.

Femn Fest to return for one night

Me-N-Her, One Less Guest and Wild Flower will perform as a part of a scaled-back take on Femn Fest, a music-art-lecture festival that celebrates women, fem and/or non-binary identified.

The one-night-only event is Nov. 15 at Pizza Luce.

The festival organizers are also looking for people to “join our team and bring fresh eyes, perspective, energy and talent,” according to a Facebook post. Email hello@femnfest.com.
