Alan Sparhawk is among the featured musicians who will perform as part of the Music Resource Center's spring fundraiser. The event, which includes participating students, is at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Music Center.

There will be a tour of the resource center's programs, snacks and a raffle. Tickets are $15 in advance at and $20 at the door.

The Music Resource Center is for students in grades 6-12 and offers lessons, instruments, recording studios, practice space and the chance for performances. It's open from 4-6 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at Sacred Heart Music Center.

Sparhawk is the lead singer for Low, Retribution Gospel Choir and the Black-eyed Snakes.
