Wild Waters Music Fest, billed as an event to save the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, will bring some big names in regional music to Bayfront Festival Park.
Atmosphere, Doomtree, Cloud Cult, Low and more will play Aug. 16. Tickets go on sale at noon Friday at https://www.savetheboundarywaters.org/.
The one-day fest will open at 4:30 p.m. with War Bonnet, a driving rock band with Ojibwe roots that recently played Homegrown Music Festival, followed by The Lioness, deM atlaS, Jeremy Messersmith, Low, Cloud Cult, DJ Keezy, Doomtree and Atmosphere.
Save the Boundary Waters is a movement to stop copper sulfide mining in the Boundary Waters.
