After a season on concrete, Greater Downtown Council’s Movies in the Park series will return to the grassy knoll in Leif Erikson Park at sunset July 9. The opening film: “The Land Before Time.”
This year’s theme is “Better Together.” The series will screen eight movies every Friday from July 9 through Aug. 27. The Greater Downtown Council and its partners ask that attendees adhere to the CDC guidelines for all events including mask-wearing and social distancing restrictions. Up-to-date information on the restrictions will be posted on-site at all events.
When the moon is out, a ship has its light out on the lake, the park is full of people and you pan, and there’s the Aerial Lift Bridge, “you can’t get a better Duluth moment,” said event co-founder Brita Edgerton in a 2020 News Tribune report.
The event is free and open to the public. BYO-blanket, lawn chair or other sitting devices.
Concessions will be available.
