‘Desolation Slow’ to play at Teatro Zuccone
“Desolation Slow,” Allen Killian-Moore’s documentary about homelessness, filmed in Utah and Salt Lake City, is described as a “visual tone poem and social inquiry,” and it’s playing at 8 p.m. Friday at Teatro Zuccone. Tickets are $10.
The film looks at homelessness, geography and abandonment, according to a news release, and the connections between human and structural decay. Story is by Joe Ortega, who was homeless but is now off the streets, and music is by guitarist Bill Tucker.
It was shot on Super 8mm film, 35mm Lomokino film, HD video, instant film and 35mm still photography. There will be a Q&A with Killian-Moore after the screening.
