Big screens and blankets onstage as Movies in the Park season begins

Movies in the Park start this week with a reminder for the dance-minded: Nobody puts baby in the corner.

“Dirty Dancing” — a summer resort-coming of age-love story starring Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze — kicks off the free weekly series held at Leif Erikson Park on Fridays. The screening starts at 9:05 p.m.

The rest of the summer’s lineup includes: “Ghostbusters” and, the following week, the more recent take with a cast of women, “Wonder,” “Footloose,” “Jumanji,” “La La Land” and “Despicable Me 3.”
