The Minnesota Ballet's annual Celebrity Dance Challenge is a chance to see highly glossed civilians hustle, tango and cha-cha with professionals who are either friends with or actual members of the company.

In this period without a fall staged performance, the staff is offering up a greatest hits of CDC contestants — mostly those who have won either the people's choice or judge's choice award. This All-Star virtual competition opens today and runs through Sept. 13. Go to to view and vote. There is also a silent auction.

The all-stars include Gabe Mayfield, who sang and danced, Herb Fineday, who danced in regalia, Bret Amundson, who was like a scene out of a 1960s beach film, and Eric Huie's bit of Bollywood.

Minnesota Ballet's Celebrity Dance Challenge virtual all-star competition is also available on the ballet's website,
