Raven Productions, Inc. announced that Legacy Toys has purchased the book publishing piece of the business to transform into a new children's publishing company. Curious Cat Books will officially launch on April 10, with a new location at Legacy Toys. Raven Productions, Inc., will continue to produce the Ely Summer and Winter Times, as well as the Boundary Waters & Quetico calendar. Lake Superior Writers seeks submissions for a writing contest with "rescue" as the theme. Submissions should use this theme, literally or metaphorically. Categories include: poetry, short-short fiction, short fiction, and creative nonfiction. One winner in each category wins a $250 prize and publication on the Lake Superior Writers website.
