David and Lynn Tryggestad of Duluth will celebrate their 40th anniversary today.
David and the former Lynn Narveson were married Aug. 21, 1971, in Charles City, Iowa.
Their children are Erik (Angela Smith) of Baltimore, Md.; Maia of Burbank, Calif.; and Soren of St. Paul. They have two grandchildren.

David is a pastor at Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church in Duluth. Lynn is a teacher at East High School, I.S.D. 709.
