The Lake Superior College Cyber Defense team placed first in the Minnesota Collegiate Cyber Defense competition over teams from seven other universities and colleges. The eight-student team competed for seven hours, defending their virtual small business network from professional hackers attempting to the infiltrate the network while also completing typical business tasks. LSC's team will move on to compete at the 2014 Midwest Regional Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition scheduled for March 28-29 at Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills, Ill.
