Hermantown-Proctor dance named conference champions

Hermantown-Proctor dance team won the Lake Superior Conference Dance Championship earlier this month at Superior High School after also winning the conference kick and jazz contests. Duluth Marshall's team placed second overall and Superior High School came in third.

Piedmont hockey turns negative experience positive
The Piedmont squirts hockey team was inspired to do something positive in the community after observing a competing youth hockey team demonstrate disrespectful behavior. Earlier this month, the squirt teammates - led by parents Taryn Erickson, Michaela Doyle and Clare Markley - shoveled sidewalks and driveways for unsuspecting Duluth residents and did storefront bell ringing to collect holiday donations for the Salvation Army in an effort to show empathy, kindness and respect toward others.
