Observing that visits and group activities are restricted, the Benedictine Living Community of Duluth is asking the public to send cards, letters, artwork or inspirational messages to their residents.
The "Grams for Grands" program will distribute the messages and artwork to residents, according to a news release from the facility.
"Our residents are adjusting to a change in routine that no longer includes regular visits from family members and friends," said Barb Wessberg, executive director. "The emotional health and well-being of our residents is very important to us, so we are inviting the community to get involved."
Mail can be addressed to: Benedictine Living Community of Duluth, #GramsForGrands, 935 Kenwood Ave., Duluth, MN 55811. Messages can be addressed to specific residents or sent to Merry Wallin, marketing director, for general distribution and posting at the center. Emails also may be sent to merry.wallin@bhshealth.org.
To learn more about the program, call Wallin at 218-522-8907 or visit Benedictine Living Community on Facebook.
