After months of collaborating with local businesses, University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) students in the Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering departments are ready to share the results of their work.

On Monday, May 1 from 5-7 p.m., the public is invited to UMD’s Civil Engineering high bay lab, 1405 University Drive, to review the progress they have made toward advancing sustainability efforts in our region.

Two UMD faculty members Mary Christiansen and Alison Hoxie, devised the program to give students real world experience while benefitting our community.

At the event, the students will display posters that demonstrate their work and meet with the public to share their creative solutions and ideas. The students’ business partners will also be on hand to help recognize the efforts of the students and talk about their experience
