The most well-known bookworm in South Range was given a box full of his favorite items last month from Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College. Stoney Alseth, who started Stoney's Free Library last summer, was given about two dozen children's books from Dr. Bonny Copenhaver, WITC vice president of academic affairs. The book collection was purchased by WITC faculty and staff.
The 8-year-old will read the books and then keep them in his free library shed at the end of his driveway to share with the public. Walkers or drivers-by can look through the shed's books, borrow the ones they want and then make a return if and whenever they please. Stoney's library is located at 5927 E. County Road B.

Stoney will share the donated books with other bookworms through the free library shed he and his family built at the end of their South Range driveway.
